ONLY 2% ??!?!?

I read an article today that said only 2% of women consider themselves beautiful, and around 12% are satisfied with their appearance. WHAT?!? Is this crazy to anyone else? 88% of women are not even SATISFIED with their looks? I think we are so used to seeing perfect women on TV in the magazines, and billboards that we somehow think unless we are PERFECT we are not beautiful. Ok I know that isn't rocket science and that it's pretty well common knowledge in the world we live in today that this is insanity. But, even though we know it is CRAZY to compare ourselves to supermodels, do we still do it? Some of you may see that I so some modeling for Novae Clothing. I just wanted everyone to know that my photos are NOT raw... RARELY will you find a professional photo that is not softened in some way. I only share this because I think it is important for people to know that "perfect anything" is rare. Always my smile lines are touched up. Also, since my accident there are 2 protruding screws above my temple, and where my skull was rejoined on my forehead there is a ridge. PLEASE when I see you, DO NOT stare at it.. I know right... Now the minute you see me you will look for these lumps and bumps :) Beauty is NOT perfection. To me, it is taking care of yourself, caring about your presentation to the world, caring and loving others, and believing in your goodness, your light, and YOUR-SELF! Focus your power on being your best self for your own growth. Not so you can "look better than someone else", or to get attention. Digging down to our intention, and changing it for the better can bring a new level of satisfaction. I love when self awareness makes you feel in control of your feelings about yourself, instead of putting it on autopilot. Now let your beauty shine INSIDE AND OUT!
