We get so stuck in our own worries, and cares, which makes it difficult to see others needs. Isn't it funny that we think worrying and stewing over an issue somehow will solve it. Last night I had an awakening. My consumption with myself and problems has turned my heart inward, which is the opposite of what I desire for my life. God teaches us to look outward, look to others and their needs, over and over he reiterates to be comforted, to love your neighbor, and to "consider the lilies of the field". He is aware of us, and will not leave us.... learning to turn "outward" and it feels so good.
profound and well said, J.
