Sneaky Post from Lauralyn

Wow!!! It has been a LONG time since I have had the pleasure of posting on your blog. I am beyond grateful that your beautiful little self is blogging your amazing story. You are such an inspiration to so many. However, since I set this blog up I happen to have a little teeny thing called your "password" and thought I'd hijack this page for a moment to share some AMAZING news!!!

Here we go . . . As I sat in the hospital while you were in ICU I thought and thought about what I could do to help you. I knew in my family's current financial situation I would not be able to help your family with money. Of course I could be a friend and show my love and support but I wanted to do so much more! When I was in your room looking at your head that was now missing half of your beautiful hair I felt sorry for you and wished that I could trade places. Then the thought came to me -- you can't trade places, but you can give up your hair in her honor. At that moment I didn't know if you was going to live or not. I didn't know if you would heal 100%. I did know that I loved you and would do anything I could for you.

The plan hatched! I was willing to shave my hair as a fundraiser for you. It was a very scary thought (and it still kind of is) I have enlisted the support of several of my Sister Queens AKA Mrs. Idaho America 2005, 2006, 2007(that's me), and 2008  We are all willing to shave our heads if we can help your family raise enough money to pay your medical bills. Our goal is to raise $125,000 by the end of the year and then our hair goes bye-bye!

We all love you Jamie and will do whatever we can to help you!!!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE share this blog with your friends and family! Share it on your facebook page. Tweet about it! Whatever it takes to help us reach our goal. We are in negotiations with a major talk show to have our hair shaved on their stage -- for everyone to see. EEK!
